What can I do with easy2coach Draw?

Easy2Coach Draw is a graphic editor that can be managed by intuition and it will help you get quick and easy graphic representation of tactics, set plays and/or training related issues. Use easy2coach Draw to manage the exercise database and make it even more comrehensible.

Where do I find easy2coach Draw?

Here is how to get to easy2coach Draw:

  • Click on the “Team and exercises” link on the upper navigation bar (1).
  • Click on the “Exercises” link on the navigation bar to the left (2).
  • Click on “New exercise” (you will recognize it by the green addition symbol) (3).
  • Click on the “Generate new graphic” button(4).

Editor structure

Easy2Coach Draw can be divided in five zones:

  • In the Middle you will view the playing field.
  • Under the playing field you will find the category of the objects you can draw with easy2coach Draw.
  • After clicking on a category, on the right hand side you will find the objects that you can move towards the playing field using the Drag&Drop function. The arrows will always be visible.
  • On the top left hand side you will find buttons to format the graphic. for more information, click here.
  • On the top right hand side you will find buttons to save, erase, print and close the editor.

Save graphic

Once you have generated a graphic please proceed with the following in order to save it:

  • Click on the “Save and close” symbol you will find on the upper right side of the playing field. This is visible in the shape of a disc with a cross.
  • The editor will close and you will be able to view the graphic in your exercise.
  • The next step would be to secure the exercise in easy2coach Interactive by clicking on “Save”. This will store the graphic with the exercise in the database.

Review graphic

To review a graphic that already exists please do the following:

  • After you choose the exercise you want click on the “Review” button.
  • In the graphic click on “Review graphic in the editor” (1).
  • After modifying and securing the graphic in the editor click on the “Save” button to confirm your changes.

Tip: You can generate, without further complications, a new version of a graphic that already exists. All you have to do is click on the button with the same name. This will save you time as you won’t need to introduce more data as it is copied from a graphic that already exists and you just need to make the modifications you want to for the new version.

Delete graphic

To delete a graphic that already exists please do the following:

  • After choosing the exercise you want click on “Review”.
  • Once in the graphic click on the “Delete” button (1).
  • A dialogue box will now open. Click on “Ok” to confirm you wish to proceed with deleting the graphic (2).

What is Drag & Drop?

Drag & Drop is a method to manage user graphics surfaces. To move an element with easy2coach Draw towards the playing field, please do the following:

  • Select the object you wish to move towards the playing field.
  • Click on the left button of your mouse and hold it down.
  • Move the object (holding down the left button of your mouse) towards the playing field.
  • Once you have the object in the place you want it just let go of the left hand button of your mouse.
  • The object will now be in the playing filed. Marking the object with a simple click of the left button of your mouse you can move it around using the Drag & Drop function.

Add an arrow/line

In order to add an arrow to the graphic, please do the following:

  • Select and arrow/line from the right hand side.
  • Move the arrow towards the playing field by using the Drag&Drop function.
  • Once the arrow is in the playing field you can determine the length and direction of the arrow by clicking on its tip.
  • Click on the body of the arrow to move the arrow around afterwards, using the Drag&Drop function.

Add an object

To add objects such as players, coaches and/or training material to a graphic please do the following:

  • Choose a category of your choice from the selection under the playing field, eg mats, trainers or individual groups of players.
  • On the right hand side you will view the objects you can select right under the arrows.
  • Select an object and move it towards the playing field using the Drag&Drop function.

Delete an object

To eliminate an object from the playing field please do the following:

  • Click the left button of your mouse on top of the object you wish to delete so it will appear in a light blue color surrounded by white dots.
  • Press the “Delete” key on your keyboard or click on the delete symbol (first one) you will find in the selection of the upper right side on top of the playing field.
  • To delete all the obects in the playing field at once, just click on the garbage can icon (second symbol) you will find in the selection of the upper right side on top of the playing field.

Review the size of the objects

To review the size of the objects in the playing field please do the following:

  • Click on the object you wish to review with the left button of your mouse so you can view it in light blue surrounded by white dots.
  • Possibility 1: Move the mouse over one of the white dots on the edge of the selected object until the cursor turns into a double arrow. Hold down the left button on the mouse and you will be able to review the size of the object by moving the mouse.
  • Possibility 2: Click on the orange symbols of addition or subtraction (the first symbols) that you will find in the selection on the upper left part of you screen on top of the playing field.

Warning: You will view the size of each object in a number that is visible, in the second to last place, on the upper left hand side of the playing field. The size may vary between 1-20.

Enter text

To enter a text in the graphic, please do the following:

  • Choose the text symbol (third symbol) from the selection on the upper left hand side on top of the playing field which you will recognize by the letter “A” and use Drag&Drop to move it to a text field towards the playing field.
  • Enter the text of your selection into the text field.
  • WWhen your playing field has been marked, you will view the text formatting options on top of the playing field.

Introduce auxiliary lines

To get an exact ordering of objects, you can enter auxiliary vertical and horizontal lines, which will not be displayed on the graph stored in easy2coach.

To add auxiliary lines, please do the following:

  • Click on the blue symbols “Horizontal and vertical auxiliary lines” on the upper left hand side on top of the playing field, to introduce an auxiliary line.
  • When you click on an auxiliary line the color of the line will change to red, which means it is now active and can be moved by dragging it with the mouse holding down the left button.
  • Once you have clicked on the “Show/hide auxiliary lines” from the selection on the left hand side above the playing field, the auxiliary lines will either be shown or hidden.
