What can I manage with ‘Exercises’?

The easy2coach exercise database offers you uncountable possibilities to create your own exercises, to modify and adapt as well as to file your exercises. The intelligent search screen gives you the opportunity to search for specific training units and exercises. The best way for you to get started is through reading the following sections and watching our helpful videos and visualized screenshots.

Where can I find the section ‘Exercise’?

Reach the ‘Exercise’ section by doing as follows:

  • Click onto ‘Team and exercises’ on the upper navigation bar
  • Click onto ‘exercises’ on the left navigation bar
  • A new bar will open up, where you can choose between ‘searching for exercises’ and ‘Creating exercises’

How do I search for existing exercises?

To search for a specific exercise, proceed as follows:

  • Choose ‘search exercise’ after clicking on the ‘exercise’-button.
  • In the middle of your screen you will now see/have access to all public exercises out of our easy2coach database and all of your created exercises. To offer you the possibility to be able to select between ‘all exercises’, ‘Team exercises’ as well as ‘private exercises’, we have integrated an individual slide for each exercises type.

How do I search for known exercises or author’s names?

  • Above the list with all exercises, we have included a input box (1), to simplify your search.
  • In the box you can write the specific exercise name or author’s name, to have quick access to all information regarding the exercise.

Tip: The search function is highly recommendable if you are looking for known exercises or authors, e.g. self-created exercises. For specific searches, e.g. main focus of exercise, we strongly recommend to use the filter-option (see next section).

How does the specific search with the filter-option work?

After you have accessed the exercise search, all preset and vested exercises will be displayed in the middle of you screen:

  • In the detailed search on the right side on your screen you will find the check-box ‘all’, referring to the exercise content and the exercise categories which you can filter.
  • Use the different selection possibilities in the detailed search option to find easily the exercise that you want.
  • By choosing the exercise criteria, the result list will be automatically refreshed as well as the results displayed
  • Since all exercise attributes will be automatically linked, each detailed and precise search will downsize the displayed results.
  • To relocate your searches simply click onto the reset button.
Can I search exercises by using the instruction language?

  • Click the button ‘Language’ on the right side of your screen. This action will automatically open the language catalogue of all existing exercises. The preset language will always be the language you have picked during the registration.
How does the search for specific exercise content work?

Each exercise in the easy2coach database can be focused on different exercise content. Easy2coach offers a wide range of variety of different exercise content, beginning with graphics, animations, pictures, videos and data files. To offer you the ideal filter-option, easy2coach offers you the possibility to combine different exercise content:

  • In the preset modus, all exercise content is already selected (Graphics , animations, pictures, videos and data files).
  • In the area ‘syllabus’, you can freely select or undone a selection by clicking the box or not.
  • In the following your selections will refresh you search results.
How can I search for exercises on the basis of exercise content?

  • Preset are all easy2coach training areas.
  • A selection of radio buttons, offers you the opportunity to refine your search results by using different attributes of the exercises. The feasible options belong to the following training areas: Technique, tactics, conditions, coordination, standard situations, training organization as well as general training contents.
  • The content of each search option are, at any time, combinable.
  • By clicking the radio buttons, a new search field will open beneath the button where you can enter refine your exercise search.
  • After each refinement, the search result list will be automatically refreshed.

  • Beneath the search field you will have a short overview of all chosen search criteria.
  • Within the search results, you have an additional opportunity to receive a brief overview about the content of the exercises. In the pop-up window a short introduction to the exercise criteria as well as a introducing text will be shown.

What is the meaning of the slide *public exercises’, ‘Team exercises’ and ‘My Exercises’ within the exercise module?

In the search screen you will see several slides with numbers (in brackets) behind. Since easy2coach offers you the opportunity to decide whether your created exercise is visible to all your team members, to the public or only visible to you, we have integrated three slides for each visibility status to improve the clear overview. Based on the different slide, you search results will be influenced by the visibility status of the exercises in our database. The number in the brackets will display the amount of exercises found in total.

  • ‘All Exercises’ – this slide will show you all created exercises including all visibility types that you have chosen and which match your search criteria. Therefore the ‘All exercises’-slide offers you a whole overview of all accessible exercises. 
  • ‘My team exercises’ – this side will show you all exercises which have been created by you, your team members and all linked teams (Click here for linked-teams information). These exercises cannot be accessed by third-person not belonging to your team (Exception: If you have created the exercise as a team exercise and a public exercise).
  • ‘My Exercises’ – include all of your created exercises, no matter which visibility status you have chosen.

What do the different elements in my search results represent?

The search results represent all exercises which match to your search criteria.

  • On the left side, next to the exercise names, a video, picture, graphic, data or animation of the exercise will be shown.
  • The length of the exercise will be displayed besides the stars.
  • The colored stars inform you about the evaluation about the exercise. Evaluation can be done by you and other users of easy2coach.
  • Beneath the stars you can see when the exercise was created and by whom it was created.
  • The Icons below represent: (Image of Icons + Description)

    • : Easy2Coach animation
    • : Video
    • : Picture data file
    • : Data file
  • Even if there are more than 10 search results displayed, a maximum number of results will be limited to 10 results per page. This will not only guarantee an optimal overview, but also a more efficient way in searching for the right exercise. On the bottom of the page you are able to browse to the next 10 search results with the displayed arrows.
  • With these arrows you are able to browse to the next or the previous seen search results. With the double arrows you can directly browse to the last or the first page of your results.
  • If you have selected a exercise which you would like to have a closer look on, simply click on the name of the exercise.

User tips: With eays2coach you also have the possibility to be shown a short content overview about your search results. You have access to this overview by navigating your mouse over the exercises names without clicking them. In the pop-up window you will see a short overview on the exercise content, description and exercise details. To get a relevant overview about the shown content, simply click on the matching Icon.

How does the detailed overview of the exercises look like?

At a glance you can see on the left side of the details all the information that you need to carry out the exercise, including the comments section.
On the right side you will see our own graphics and animations as well as uploaded files, images or videos to exercise. You can here also display an overview of the training aspects, by switching between two tabs, "Show Contents" and "Show training aspects".

Why can I evaluate an exercise?

With Easy2Coach you can evaluate exercises and also recommended them. You can also distinguish between public or private exercises. The more exercises you evaluate the easier you will find very good exercises for your training plan. In the detail view of an exercise, you can see by using the stars next to the name of exercise, how often and how well the exercise has been evaluated by other users:

  • To evaluate an exercise, use the stars below the name of the exercise.
  • Move your mouse over the stars and then in steps of 0.5 review by clicking on (0 = very poor, 5 = excellent)
  • You can use any public exercise of the Easy2Coach database but only evaluate it once.
  • If you want to like an exercise on Facebook press "Like" / "Like" and click on the Facebook icon at the right top of the screen in the detail view.
Why can I share an exercise on Facebook?

Use your Facebook profile to show your friends and family, which exercises are especially good for certain training units. Surely you also have coaches, players and football fans already liked to your Facebook profiles, who are interested in particular information regarding different exercises.

Just click on the "Like" icon on the upper right of the screen to see the detailed overview.

Optionally, you can also use the "Share" option in the lower right screen.

  • Simply click the ‘share’-symbol on the right side
  • Choose ‘Facebook’ from the list in the  pop-up
  • You will be redirected to your Facebook account.
  • Leave a comment and export the exercise on your wall similarly, you have the ability to share the practice in other social networks like Twitter, LinkedIn with your friends.
How can I send an E-Mail including my selected exercise?

To send an E-Mail including the selected exercise to another E-Mail address, easy2coach offers you two easy possibilities. Either you use the button ‘send E-Mail’, beneath the detailed overview of the exercise, including all descriptions, pictures and animations to send an email, or you use the simplified function on the right side of your screen, to simply send the exercise overview.
We recommend you to use the integrated button ‘send E-Mail’. The fully integrated button will send a neatly arranged E-Mail, including all detailed information about the exercise.

  • Select the button ‘send as E-Mail’ beneath the detailed overview of the exercise.
  • Inscribe the E-Mail address of the addressee.
  • Click ‘send’ to finally send the E-Mail including the exercise.

In contrast, if you simply wish to send the exercises link, proceed as follows:

  • Open a exercise in the detailed overview by clicking on an exercises name in your search results.
  • Click on the right `pass this-button.
  • In the pop-up window, choose E-Mail in the list.
  • Inscribe in the now opening window the E-Mail address and name of your addressee.
  • Click on ‘send’ to send the E-Mail.
In which way does the black board help me with my exercises?

In the detailed overview of each exercise you can leave comments and as well read all previous made comments. We recommend all our members to frequently use the black board function, to gain more knowledge about how to use the exercise or how to change it in a better way.  Please write your opinion in the black board and discuss the usage and productivity of each exercise. Especially for public exercises we recommend to leave a comment on each exercise you have used, not only to improve the exercises description but to make this knowledge accessible to everyone of our users.

  • Chare your knowledge with user member and boost your own training possibilities.
  • If you want to write down your opinion, or if you have any suggestion for improvement, simply leave a comment on the black board.
  • To save your comment to the black board, please don’t forget to click the ‘send’-button

How can I adapt exercises?

If you are allowed to adapt and work on a exercise in the easy2coach system depends on if you are the author of the exercise or not and if you have the necessary Premium Membership within easy2coach.

Exclusively Gold and Tactics Membership owners are able to adapt and work on exercises or copy existing exercises. To adapt an existing exercise, proceed as follows:

  • Choose an exercise via the ‘my exercises’-Slide – In the ‘my exercises’-slide you will have access to all exercises that you are allowed to adapt and change.
  • In the detailed overview of your selected exercise you will find the ‘change’-button – This will only be displayed if you are the author of this exercise, if you are not you can only copy the exercise with the ‘copy’-button.
  • By clicking the ‘change’-button will open the adaption view.
  • Now you can change and adapt the exercise as needed.
  • By clicking the ‘save’-button, you will save all changes and return to the detailed overview.

How can I set the visibility status of my exercises?

If you want your created exercises to be seen by public, by your players or other team coaches, you can easily use the easy2coach visibility function. You change the visibility status while creating your new exercise and even later after saving the exercise. To change the visibility status of your exercises, click the checkboxes on the side of your screen while you are in the change modus of your exercise. The checkboxes will offer you the following visibility status: ‘Team exercise’ – visible to all your team members, ‘Public exercise’ – visible to all easy2coach user or choose ‘Private’ – visible to only you.

How can I add/adapt Instructions?

In order to add/adapt the exercise instruction, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click the ‘change’-button
  • Fill in the mandatory fields; Length and training structure
  • In the detailed overview you can describe the exercise by writing your explanations in the ‘General Description’-field. In the ‘organization’-field you can add organizational information.
  • In the ‘implementation’-field, you can describe the process/procedure of the exercise.
  • To add closer details to your exercise, fill in the lower description field. Therefore you can also use the description field ‘note’ and ‘field size’.

Save your changes by clicking the save-button.

How can I add/adapt my exercise criteria?

In order add/adapt your exercise criteria, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click the ‘change’-button
  • Select the slide ‘more exercise criteria’
  • After you have added/adapted your exercise criteria, please save all changes by clicking the ‘save’-button.

How can I add/adapt graphics?

If you want to create and draw your own graphics, please choose the slide ‘graphics/data’. By clicking the ‘drawing – software’, the easy2coach Draw will open automatically. For help with the easy2coach Draw, please click here.

If you have already created a graphic, please click the `save’-button in the easy2coach Draw window. The drawing software will close automatically, please the ‘save’-button again to save all changes.

To adapt one of your saved graphics, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click the ‘change’-button
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’, where you will find the option ‘upload’.
  • Beneath the graphic, you can choose between the following icons:
    • “Create new graphics”
    • „Create new version of existing graphics “
    • „Change graphic"
  • After you have changed the graphic with help of the editor, click (a) drawing software and (b) click on the ‘save’-button to save all changes.

How can I add/adapt animations?

If you want to create a new exercise or simply want to add a animation to a exercise, select the slide ‘graphics/data’. By clicking the ‘animation software’ button the easy2coach animations will open in a separate window. If you need more support regarding the adding of an animation to your exercises, then please click here.

If you have already created an animation, please click the ‘save’-button within the easy2coach motion. The easy2coach motion will close automatically if you have clicked on the ‘save’-button. Please don’t forget to finalize the adding of the animation by clicking on the ‘save’-button for the whole exercise.

To adapt one of your saved animations, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click the ‘change’-button
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’, where you will find the option ‘upload’.
  • Beneath the animation, you can choose between the following icons:
    • “Create new animation”
    • „Create new version of existing animation “
    • „Change animation”
  • After you have changed the animation with the easy2coach motion, please click the ‘save’-button to save all changes within the exercise.

By clicking the Icon you can download the animation to your PC or Laptop.

How can I upload pictures?

In order to upload own pictures to your exercise (e.g. pictures of your exercises), proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click on the ‘Change’-button. If you are creating a new exercise, this step is not necessary.
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’, where you will find the option ‘upload’.
  • By clicking on the ‘browse’-button, a pop-up window will occur in which you can choose the data that you want to upload.
  • When you have selected the picture that you want to upload, click the `’upload’-button. The picture will be now added to your exercise in easy2coach interactive.
  • Click the ‘save’-button to save your action.

How can I upload videos?

In order to upload videos (e.g. Recordings of exercises), proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click on the ‘Change’-button. If you are creating a new exercise, this step is not necessary.
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’, where you will find the option ‘upload’
  • By clicking on the ‘browse’-button, a pop-up window will occur in which you can choose the data that you want to upload.
  • When you have selected the video that you want to upload, click the `’upload’-button. The video will be now added to your exercise in easy2coach interactive.
  • Click the ‘save’-button to save your action

Please note: All videos that you want to upload in easy2coach interactive have to be .flv or .swf format. If you first have to convert your video, than search for a free video converter on the internet (Here you will find plenty of them: Google, Yahoo etc.)

How can I upload data files?

In order to upload own data files (e.g. PDF-files or text data) to your created exercise, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click on the ‘change’-button. If you are creating a new exercise, this step is not necessary. 
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’, where you will find the option ‘upload’
  • By clicking on the ‘browse’-button, a pop-up window will occur in which you can choose the data that you want to upload.
  • When you have selected your data file, click on ‘upload’. The data file will now be uploaded/added to your created exercise in easy2coach.
  • Click the ‘save’-button to save your action.

How can I create a exercise?

In order to create an own exercise, proceed as follows:

  • Choose, on the left side of the navigation bar, the button ‘new exercises’, easily recognizable via the plus-symbol.
  • On the right side, a pop-up window will occur in which you can write the details of your exercise.
  • To create a new exercise, you have at least to fill in the mandatory fields, such as name, length and training composition. All further information are optional and can be filled in belated.
  • Beneath the column ‘general description’, you can write a brief description of the exercise. In the column ‘organization’, you can fill in all relevant organizational information.
  • In the box ‘operation’, you can describe the course plan of the exercise.
  • Additional data:
  • By using the check-boxes ‘ visible to all club members’ and ‘public exercise’ you can define who has access to the created exercise. Click here for further information.
  • In the slide ‘further exercise criteria’, you will find further check-boxes. You can fill in several further details regarding your created exercise to ensure a specified search option.

By clicking the ‘save’-button, you save the created exercise in your system.

Which exercises can I delete?

Please note: You can only delete exercises that you have created yourself.
In order to delete a graphic, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click on the ‘change’-button
  • Click the button ‘delete’ in the detailed view of the exercise.
  • A pop-up window will open. Click ‘yes’ to confirm the deletion.

How can I delete a graphic?

In order to delete a graphic, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click on the ‘change’-button
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’.
  • Beneath the selected animation, click the icon ‘delete graphic’.
  • A pop-up window will open. Click ‘ok’ to confirm the deletion.

How can I delete an animation?

In order to delete an animation, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click on the ‘change’-button
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’.
  • Beneath the selected animation, click the icon ‘delete animation’.
  • A pop-up window will open. Click ‘ok’ to confirm the deletion.

How can I delete videos/pictures/data in one exercise?

To delete existing videos/pictures/data, proceed as follows:

  • Select an exercise and click in the detailed view of one exercise on the ‘change’-button
  • Select the slide ‘graphics/data’
  • Beneath the selected video/picture/data, click the Icon ‘delete’
  • A pop-up window will open. Click ‘ok’ to confirm the deletion.

How can I copy exercises?

Since you cannot work or adapt exercises which have been created by other easy2coach members, we offer you the possibility to copy those exercises in order to adapt and change exercises and save them to your own. Proceed as follows:

  • Choose a exercise by using the search function.
  • Click the ‘copy’-button beneath the exercise section.
  • The exercise will now be displayed in the operating mode.
  • Change the data as you wish and remember to change the name of the exercise.
  • Click ‘Save’ to create the new exercise.

Can I print exercises?

With easy2coach you can easily print out all of your exercises, to take them with you on the practice field. You can print out as follows:

  • Select your exercise.
  • Click in the detailed view, the button ‘print’.
  • In the pop-up window you are now able to choose certain parts of your training exercise and print them out.
